I have VMWare (with Ubuntu 20.10 - x64) installed on Windows 10 Pro.
I am using AnyConnect VPN with Windows 10 to connect to my corporate network and it works fine.
I would like to be able to connect to the corporate VPN via Ubuntu 20.10 as well (on VMWare Workstation 16 Player), currently not working properly, it looks like a DNS problem.
This is what happens with Ubuntu:
When I'm connected to the VPN (Internet does not work, but VPN works):
When I'm not connected to the VPN:
Essentially the problem is that when I'm connected to the VPN, I can't use the internet (with Ubuntu)
Don't know, but what is the networking mode in Ubuntu networking (bridged or NAT)?
In the VMWare settings is selected: "NAT: Used to share the host's IP address"
According to this, it will not work in a standard case. Instead, you would need something specific from VMware. I hope VMware guys can give you a definite answer.
