Hi,
I have a base VM that I copy and change the folder name to reflect the content of it. The problem is that I get the same name in the VMware bar on top.
The Question is how to change the Display name?
I am using VMware Player 2.5. I do not have VMware Workstation.
Welcome to the forums.
Open the .vmx file in your folder with Notepad.
Look for:
displayName = "VMNAME"
Change it to reflect what you want it to display.
Save the file, and then rerun VMware Player.
