Cannot connect to server hosted inside guest from outside

Hi, I have created a Virtual Machine that contains a Red Hat linux as

its guest and that is being hosted by a Windows Server 2003 machine.

Inside

the Red Hat I have installed a JBoss application server, however I can

only connect to it from inside the virtual machine, therefore I

cannot connect to it from the host or any other machine besides

the guest itself.

I have configured the machine's network adapter

as "bridged" and I can even ping it, however it appears that something

is blocking the connection.

Did I miss any configurations that block this communication? What should I do to solve this?

Thanks,

Komyg

Does your host has more then one nic ? - then you must disable automatic bridging in vmnetcfg.exe.

Like

physical nic 0 = bridged to vmnet0

physical nic 1 = bridged to vmnet2

When that is done - check all involved firewalls - if unsure disable all of them for the first tests
