Cannot access guest vm from network

I have a Windows XP guest running in VMplayer 4 on a Windows XP host. The NIC is running in bridged mode.  Firewall is turned off.

From the hiost, I can ping the guest.  From the guest, I can ping and access network resources.

However, I cannot ping or access the guest VM from any other PC or server on the network.

I have checked and the guest is getting is valid IP from our DHCP server.

This is happening on multiple hosts with all VMs.

Please note, that as I mentioned above, the firewall is turned off on bo0th the host and the guests.

Any help would be appreciated.

Look in the network properties for 2 additional VM network adapters. One VMnet.0 the other VMnet.8. If they are there set them to Disabled and see if you can get to the VM from othr PCs.

On Win 7 host they get installed in the Public network area which as far as I can tell slows down my connecting to all other PCs on my LAN. Once set to disabled my LAN works as it did before installing Player.

Hey Shootist, thanks for the reply. I had already disabled those two adaptors but forgot to mention it in my post.
