Cannot access dimdim vmware from outsite host server

Hello everyone, I have installed dimdim vmware on my dedicated server, assigned one of my ips to it. On the host server (Windows 2003), I can open an internet browser and point to the vmware ip address and it works (dimdim conference comes up), however If I try to access the vmware from another computer outsite the server, then it does not work, it's not letting me access the vmware. I believe it has to do with some network setting. My dedicated server tech support guys have given me the following info to set it up correctly:

The IP addresses used here are just an exemple, do not use them.

In order to use additionnal IP in your VM you need to:

- Add the first additional IP available (10.10.10.10) to your Newtork card

- Enable ip forwarding to route VM traffic, you need to make some

modification on your registry keys

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\

CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters
Value Name: IPEnableRouter
Value type: REG_DWORD
Value Data: 1

- Apply new sysctl configuration (as root):
sysctl -p

- In VMWare make sure that your VM uses the bridge connection to your
Network card and that the VM use one of the other additionnal IP.

I followed the instructions above but i tdid not solve my problem, any suggestion?

Thank you

Is your VM's ethernet card set to use Bridged mode?

Post the vmx file.

Host Windows Firewall either disabled or configured to allow traffic?

MAC address filtering or limits on the physical switch your host PC is connected to?

hello, it looks like my problem is very similar to this: http://communities.vmware.com/thread/156746?tstart=0

I am not good at neworking, however I can pay for someone to login into my server and make the right configuration. If not please give step by step directions.

Thank you
