Can't instal WMware Tools for ubuntu 22.04 LTS

Dear All,

I update the vmware workstation player 17 from 16 on Window11. I'm using Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS for the guest OS. I can not install the VMware Tools. Please advice me.

  Initializing...

  Segmentation fault (Core dumped)

Makeing sure services for VMware Tools are stopped

I checked shell script, /usr/lib/vmware-tools/slib64/vmware-dodconfig-console is hunged. I use gdb for this.

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Don't install VMware Tools.  VMware recommends the use of open-vm-tools and open-vm-tools-desktop for Linux. Both of these packages can be installed from the Ubuntu repositories (if they aren't already installed).

VMware Tools are only maintained for older Linux distributions do not provide open-vm-tools. Almost all Linux distributions provide open-vm-tools and have for a number of years now.
