Can not install VMware Player

At first I installed VMware 1.0 but then uninstalled it after I found out that it does not work on Win7 64bit. Now I can not installed VMware Player because it states that another verision of VMware exists, but it does not because I uninstalled it.

Please restart and try to install vmwaplyer.

if again fail check any VMware server service in services.msc

Take a look at knowledgbase article In your case you may want to first try running the Player installer again, but with the /c switch (similar to step 5 in the article.)
