Can anyone tell me which version of VM player can be installed on Windows 7

I have tried to install VM Player 3 on windows 7 , but it failed. Every time I tried to install the same it is showing me the mesasge that it is unable to find some MSI file.

How to solve this problem and what are the prerequisite to install the same. I need to know very badly.

The latest version 3.1 installs OK on my Win7-64 host.
