Bridged VM is getting wrong IP Address

Working in VM Workstation 16. My VM's are all set to Bridged but they are getting a completely wrong IP Scheme. My host IP address is 192.168.1.x but my VM's are getting a 169.254.150.x ip address scheme. NAT works fine. Any thoughts?

169.254.x.x addresses are used when you have an interface set to receive an IP address from DHCP but that process fails.

So you need to investigate why that is happening with your VM OS amd your DHCP server.

Thank you for the reply. I hooked my guest up to a completely different wireless router and got the same problem on my VM. Still getting that pesky 169.254.x.x ip addressing.
