Backing up VM

I created a virtual machine using virtual pc 2007. I then imported it into VMWare, applied all the patches and software that I needed. I would like to make a backup of this pristine image so that should I need recover, I could just overwrite the current files with the ones I made a backup of.

Would someone be able to tell me what folders/files I need to backup.

Thank you

Sarah

Before you backup your virtual machine, make sure that it is completely turned off (not hibernated).

Then you only need to backup these files:

One config file, ending with .vmx

One or more virtual disk files, ending with vmdk.
