BUG: VMware player crash (unrecoverable error : vcpu-0) when suspended or restarted

VMware Workstation Player 16.2.1 crashes with "unrecoverable error: (vcpu-0) Exception 0xc0000005 (access violation)" when guest is suspended or restarted. Guest: Linux Ubuntu 64-bit 20.04.

Can you please attach the vmware.log file again, compressed as a .zip archive?
It seems that there's currently an issue with opening ".log" attachments on the forum platform.

And if there's also a mksSandbox.log file , please include this in the .zip archive too.

I can't unfortunately tell you the reason for this.

However, other users reported similar issues with version 16.2.x, and for some of them disabling "Accelerated 3D Graphics" in the VM's display settings helped. Another possible workaround for now might be to uninstall version 16.2 and install version 16.1.

I've tried disabling "Accelerated 3D Graphics" and downgrade the VMware player to version 16.1, but neither worked.

I've updated VMware player to version 16.2.2 and that fixed the problem.
