Hi,
When trying to start a VM on this combination, Workstation reports "Virtualized Intel VTx/EPT is not supported on this platform".
- Intel says it's supported on this processor
- Dell says it's always enabled (No BIOS switch to turn it off with)
- Task manager > Performance > CPU 0 details show "Virtualization Enabled"
- no other hypervisors present.
Any help appreciated... Thanks.
Solution:
It appears that certain versions of Linux are not compatible with the I9 processor yet. With the Windows Hypervisor Platform installed, Ubuntu will run, but complains about the lack of virtualization support. CentOS will print an error about virtualization, then halts.
Windows 10 works correctly.
