Hi,
I've installed Vmware Player 3.01 on XP 32 Host (no firewall on host and guest).
Network is bridged, guest get's correct ip-adress, networkmask, gateway, dnsserver from LAN-dhcp-server.
IP works (ping, tracert, http in browser), but DNS didn't work at all.
If I try to resolve a host I can see the request with wireshark on host's lan interface but there is no answer.
dig @4.2.2.2 www.google.com
works on host but didn't work in guest
Problem is the same on all hosts. If I change connection to NAT dns works.
Any ideas?
