vmmark test on different subnet

Hello,

Does VMmark require Tile VMs to be on same subnet as vCenter? I have my VMs on 192.168.x.x subnet, however my vCenter and ESXi Management Console is on 172.140.x.x).. they are not reachible each other.. And I see VMmark config file asks for vCenter and datastore details..

Not so sure if i can run benchmark on this environment. Will that work?

Thanks!

Hi,

No, your VMs don't need to be on the same subnet as your vCenter.   You networking seems just fine. Only the prime client needs to be able to communicate with all of the hosts, VMs, clients and vCenter.  This is usually accomplished by having two NICs in the prime client.
