is it compliant for the test result's publication if the client hosts using different ESXi version from the SUT's?

e.g. running test with clients' hosts using ESXi 6.5 U1, build 5969303 while SUT using ESXi version 6.5 U1g, build 7967591

or the prerequisite of the compliant vmmark test is using consistent ESXi version on every hosts?

You are allowed to have a different version of ESXi on the Client Hosts, since they are considered outside of the System Under Test.
