Hi at all,
I want to open a console from a VM in the vSphere Web Client.
With vSphere 6 BETA or RC this was not a problem, but with the GA I cannot open a console.
1. Right-klick to the VM, that "open console" starts a further tab with the following message:
Re-Launching and Re-connecting doesn't solve the problem. I tried this with firefox, IE and also Google Chrome at 2 different machines. With Google Chrome I doesn't get any message.
2. Trying to install the VMRC 7.0.1 at my (physical) desktop, I got the following message:
3. Trying to install the VMRC 7.0.1 at my (virtual) desktop, I got the following message:
"These installation package is not supportet at this platform."
Does anybody know whats wrong here?
Would be very nice if I can solve this.
Best Regards,
Andre
Hi Andre,
Can you provide more information about the systems you are trying install on? Also, have you tried any of the suggestions from the following thread:
Re: VI Client 5.1 fails to Install - HCMON Driver
Thanks, Santosh K
Hi Santosh K,
thanks for your fast response.
Today in the morning I despaired of this:-(.
Yesterday in the evening I rebooted my physical desktop - after that I could install the VMRC 7.0.1 successfully.
So point 2. was solved:-).
But the right-klick to the VM within the vcenter web client (point 1.) was still not possible.
So at the last step I restarted the ESXi hosts, and - tadaaa - after that the console was visible!!!
Point 1. also solved.
For the moment my last problem ist the installation of the VMRC 7.0.1 (7.0.0 also) within a virtual desktop OS like Windows 7 or Windows 8.1
Everytime I get the error message:
Within a virtual server OS it is possible to install the VMRC.
So, is the VMRC not supported for a virtual Windows 7 or Windows 8.1??
Best Regards,
Andre
Okay,
my fault.
I see that the VMRC is supportet at 64bit OS only.
I tested that with 32bit OS:-(.
So, thanks again for your help.
Best Regards,
Andre
