We are running VSphere Web Client Version 5.5.0 Build 3253142. Since updating to VMRC v.8.1 I am unable to launch vmrc from the VSphere Web client. It generates the URL, but vmrc doesn't launch. When I try to open a console in the standalone VSphere Client I get the message "The VMRC console has disconnected...attempting to reconnect." Does anyone have any ideas as to why this has happened. I have tried launching from PowerCLI with no success. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

Can you connect with the Web Console? (See links in the VM's Summary tab.)
Could you connect with an earlier version of VMRC standalone? If so, can you connect successfully if you uninstall 8.1 and reinstall that version?
Do you see any errors in the vSphere Web Client for the VM or server?
