A full year later and still no VMRC for linux?

VMRC version 8 has been released

linux not supported. WTF? 😞

Continue use VMware Player...

VMware Player works well, but for non-personal use it seems Linux client either have to use the slightly clunky Chrome browser console or fork out more cash :smileyshocked:

Hey all, we're developing VMRC Linux as we speak.  Which Linux distributions are you using the most frequently?  So far I've gotten Ubuntu/Debian and RHEL as the top ones, with some on Suse.  Which others are you looking to use VMRC on?

Also Arch. If there is a bundle installer like with Workstation I'd be fine with that.

We released VMRC 9.0 last week which supports Linux. Download at http://www.vmware.com/go/download-vmrc

The Installation chapter in the guide is sparse, I'm sending an email to fix that now. For Linux you need to execute the downloaded .bundle file with root privilege and follow the prompts. Once installation is finished, the vmrc executable will be in your path and it will be associated with vmrc:// links in the browser.
