Hi,

a couple of questions on the fly, did the VM you want to connect with VMRC install VMware tools?

Does it do it on all VMs or one in particular?
Which operating system?

VMware Knowledge Base

https://www.johnborhek.com/vmware/vmware-vsphere/diagnosing-and-fixing-virtual-machine-remote-consol...

Cause

The error "Unable to Connect to the MKS" occurs when:

  • Attempting to connect to the remote console from vCenter Server to a virtual machine.
  • When connecting to the remote console from different subnets through a firewall.
  • When name resolution for the ESXi or vCenter FQDN does not return the correct or valid IP address.

  Resolution

To allow the VM Remote Console port-902 to vCenter and the ESXi hosts:

  1. If the user is in a different layer 3 subnet, check firewall settings: style="background-position:repeat;color:rgb(0, 0, 0);margin-bottom:20px"
  2. Click on the remote console of the virtual machine on a host. style="background-position:repeat;color:rgb(0, 0, 0);margin-bottom:20px"

hi, ARomeo

thank you for your reply.

this problem only appear on my laptop runing windows 7 x64.

others windows 7 hosts that installed windows 7 can using VMRC 11.0 access the VMs without errors.

I can found the logs below while checking logs on the GOOD PC:
