See title, I'm trying to fix the "failure to initialize SSL" error for VMRC on OS X/Mac.

I also got the same error message, but in my case it was due to a timezone discrepancy between my Mac (CET +1) and the vCenter (UTC).

Time was in sync if you took into account the timezone (11:30 a.m on the vCenter and 13:30 on the Mac)

Change the Vcanter - VMRC is now working
