Can't download VMRC!

The 'Download Remote Console' link in the Web Client links to https://www.vmware.com/go/download-vmrc but that loads a page to download the VMware Tools - the guest tools that can only be installed in a VM (and doesn't look like it contains VMRC anyway).

Download page for VMRC 9 says it's been removed and I can't find any reference to download VMRC 10 or 10.1 at all.

VMware, PLEASE FIX THIS!

We happened to have an old VMRC 8 installer and after installing it, used the 'check for updates' function to update.

This is ridiculous.

You can read more about how to download and install VMRC on the following link, which I validate it is pointing to VMRC version 10.0.1, see: Downloading and Installing the standalone VMware Remote Console (VMRC) in vSphere 5.x and 6.0 (20912...

This is occurring for me as well. Go to download 10.0.6, forced to log in, then get page that lists 'All Downloads' and VMware Remote Console is not listed in the list, nor under vSphere Drivers & Tools.

Hi!

The download page of  VMRC 11.0 is here: Download VMware vSphere

And the "go to" link redirects to it as well:  https://www.vmware.com/go/download-vmrc

Thanks!

Still broken on 1/17. Can someone from VMWare please fix it? Why can't we just have a direct FTP link to vmrc-current. learn from linux distros VMWare.

This is still an issue.  Even searching for VMRC within Customer Connect downloads only shows the SDK.

Hi,

Sorry but this is not the case, the VMRC product is located in the download context of "Drivers & Toollos relevant to the "VMware vSphere Download". It may be perplexing that for ESXi 8.0 VMRC version 12.0.1 is indicated while for older versions version 12.0.2 is indicated as the most recent:

https://customerconnect.vmware.com/en/downloads/details?downloadGroup=VMRC1202&productId=974
https://customerconnect.vmware.com/en/downloads/details?downloadGroup=VMRC1201&productId=1345

As I said on another occasion, you must have valid access to the services of the "Customer Connect Portal".

Ferdinando

Thank You, its very confusing and not easy to find.

Agreed. It's WAY more difficult than it needs to be. The link in vsphere should take you there even if you have to have a valid account. Having to search for it yields a ton of results to sift through.

I have to agree with the user sentiment here. When in a VMware environment and it gives you a link to download VMRC, it used to just download the VMRC. I shouldn't have to hunt for it. Certainly not all of my users that may use vSphere to reset a VM for a client - they don't even have VMware accounts. This is VMWare being a dumb selfish corporation and not thinking about the users only themselves.

I have to reply.. Just spent a good 10 minutes hunting for the tool. Assumption would have been the tool would be on the All Downloads page if that was where I was linked after selecting "download VMRC" in ESXi!
