vSphere 6.7 Web Client Remote Console (VMRC) Not Working

Hi Guys,

Apologies if this is an easy fix but I'm fairly new to vSphere, especially vSphere 6.7 and I wanted to see if anybody could see the issue I am having with VMRC. The issue is that I am unable to launch the VMRC (VMWare Remote Console) even after downloading and installing the VMRC software from VMWare directly. An attached image will show that.

Details:

Vcenter Version: 6.7

ESXI Version: 6.7

VMware PowerCLI Version: 12.2.0

The remote console seems to still be functional with previous 6.0 vCenter and 6.0 ESXI host versions.

This is the error I receive from PowerCLI:

Open-VMConsoleWindow : A general system error occurred: Authorize Exception
At line:1 char:1
+ Open-VMConsoleWindow -VM "Node1"
+ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
+ CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [Open-VMConsoleWindow], VimException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : VMware.Vim.VimException,VMware.VimAutomation.ViCore.Cmdlets.Commands.OpenVMConsoleWin
dow

I have read the various forums that describe the same problem and have tried the workarounds with no success. Usually those forums describe the problem with PowerCLI version 11.x, never anything with 12.x.

Like I replied in the other thread, you seem to have parts of an old PowerCLI 6.5 installed next to PowerCLI 12.2.
