I am in a bind with the version of tools on my 6.7 vm's. My company is in the process of buying new 7.0 licenses, but it wil llike take weeks, hopefully before the end of October(6.7 eol). We have findings from the older version of tools on the VM's that are about to cause some issue with security. On a tools version matrix, it shows that I can run tools version 12 on the vms (12288 esx/6.7p07 19898906 12.0.0 19345655). https://packages.vmware.com/tools/versions
How can I use powercli to install version 12 tools to my vms, with no reboot?
Are these VMs with a Windows Guest OS?
Then you could try Solved: Re: Install vmtools 12 from ISO - VMware Technology Network VMTN
