possible to delete logical drives/adapters?

Hello all,

Is it possible to script the deletion of logial drives / adapters?

I have a situation where there is a "shadown" adapter defined in the nvram of the local RAID controller on many, many hosts. There are no disks for it and never will be, so it's throwing an error.  I'd like to just get rid of it in a scripted fashion without rebooting all the hosts.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

John

That should be possible with the new Get-EsxCli cmdlet that was introduced in PowerCLI 4.1U1.

With the Path Masking feature from esxcli you should be able to mask all paths coming from that ghost HBA.

Haven't tried it yet myself though.

Update: forgot to mention that Pavel wrote a great document on Get-EsxCli called ESXCLI in PowerCLI - overview
