Did any one face any kindly of performace isuue(i.e CPU,Memory,Network or Disk) with mismatch in VMtools version and Hardware version on any version of Esxi host.
My Esxi version :5.5 build -3029837 & 2702869.
Please suggest if any KB avaliable related to this type of issues.

Yes, there could be performance impact, but not especially due to a link between VMware Tools v9 and HW version v8.
VMware Tools 9 implies that you are on vSphere 5.1 or higher.
And in there the HW version is 9 or higher.
The HW version might have performance impact when not following the vSphere version.
Note that the manageability changes when going to HW v9 or higher (Web client)

Since the VMware Tools contain the drivers for the virtual devices, it is advisable to keep them up to date.
Several KB on performance issues advise to make sure the VMware Tools are at the correct build.
The following document, although written for a specific commercial tool, contains some very good and more elaborate information on the subject.

Thanks Luc for sharing the Doc., My question is If Vmware tools are of version 9 which is OK (Updated) and Vm hardware version is 8 (OLD) ? Could it cause any performance impact.
