the lose of synchrony is in seconds, it begins good synchronized with ntp ip server, then it gets to lose synchrony in seconds

after a weeks we have minutes out of sync, then we have to syncrhonize again against an ntp server. every time every couple of weeks

I would just use ntpd in linux to set time. You can also have a look at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1006427
