.VMDK issue -- growth up to 476.8GB but VM Harddisk only have 2 and total sizes are 150GB used 80GB only...

Hi,

Any chance to compress or remove any .vmdk and it seems no way to growth in this size...

Can I install the "VMWare vCenter Converter Standalone" to convert to another vm and it could trim it down... ?!

I hope you are probably using snapshot level VADP backup where some times snapshot consolidation fail after the backup completes. perform snapshot consolidation either from host level command or vm level( right click-snapshot-consolidate). if it is give files are locked. then you have to restart the host management agents and need to consolidate again.

I am now trying the Snapshot consolidation and running over an hour for 3% completed only... Not sure it has sufficient to do the task as datasource only have 37.27GB but all the .vdmk added up is 476.8GB ....

It's ended up....

Insufficient disk space on datastore " .... so cannot consolidate .. .?!
