So I downloade the VMware Infrastructure Toolkit (for Windows) from . I installed it on a Vista client and wanted to access my VMWare Server 2.0 based on a Debian host(I have no domain set up at home by the way). I connected to the vmware server like this:
C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\VIToolkitForWindows> Connect
-VIServer -Server 192.168.1.102 -Protocol https -Port 8333 -User Admin -Password

I then try to list all VM's:
C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\VIToolkitForWindows> Get-VM
Get-VM : Angitt argument var utenfor området for gyldige verdier.
Parameternavn: i
At line:1 char:6
+ Get-VM <<<<
This is Norwegian and translates to something like: The specified argument is outside valid values. Parametername: i
So what did I do wrong?
Version 1.0 works against VMware Server.
Hi,
ViToolkit does not support VMWare Server. It is intended for management of Virtual Center Server or standalone ESX hosts.
