VCSA disk utilization report

Hello All,

Recently we had boot drive full issue on one of the VCSA 6.0. After this issue, we have decided to set some monitoring for all disk usage.

what are the ways get this done.

we have vROPS in place, use plugin to get this done.

or, pCLI scripts can help?

Please provide some guidance on this.

Thank you.

Download script from given link and schedule it as cron job as mentioned in KB

If you don't want to mess with your VCSA, and be forced to repeat the setup of the KB each time there is a VCSA update, you can do this through the VAMI API.

William posted a great series on the VAMI API.

See his Exploring new VCSA VAMI API w/PowerCLI: Part 9 to get a quick estimate of the size of the VCSA (config & data)

You can schedule this on a regular basis to monitor growth and watermarks.

The drawback, it requires VCSA 6.5
