Unable to install Power CLI 4.0 or 5.1, even though Powershell 2.0 SDK is installed?

Hi all,

I have been facing difficulty in  installing Power CLI 4.0 or 5.1 even though Powershell 2.0 SDK application is installed, I will get an error saying Powershell is not installed, even though its installed, not sure why this problem is occurring, can anyone provide solution to me regarding this? Also please let me know if its Power CLI problem or Power Shell Problem, please see the attached image for details. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You have installed powershell 2.0 SDK not powershell 2.0. Here the link for download powershell.

Not sure why you have this PowerShell v2 SDK installed, you should just have PowerShell v2 or v3 installed.

Is PowerShell installed ? Run 'powershell.exe' from a commmand prompt.

If possible, and provided all the prerequisites are met, I would advise to go for PowerShell v3 and the latest PowerCLI build.
