Unable to connect vCenter server ( Connect-VIServer) after upgrade to version 5.5 though PowerCLI

Unable to connect vCenter server ( Connect-VIServer) after upgrade to version 5.5 though PowerCLI.

error message:-

Connect-VIServer : 01/12/2014 16:36:10    Connect-VIServer        Cannot complete login due to an incorrect user name or password.

At line:1 char:17+ Connect-VIServer <<<<  vcentername  -Users -Password + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (:) [Connect-VIServer], InvalidLog in+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : Client20_ConnectivityServiceImpl_Reconnect_Exception,VMware.VimAutomation.ViCore.Cmdlets.Commands.ConnectVIServer @


The user name and password provided to connect to the VIConnect are valid and able to login to VI client and webclient.


Is there any known issues after upgrade the vCenter verion from 5.1 to 5.5 U2 problem connection through the PowerCLI.


I do some powercli scripts schedule to generate a reports which not working after upgrade the vCenter version to 5.5 .

Which operating system do you use (on which you run PowerCLI)?

This might be a SSO configuration issue.

See KB2043070 and KB2034798

Could one of these explain the issue you are seeing ?

And more importantly, do any of the proposed resolutions fix the issue ?
