Run non-ESXCLi commands via PowerCLI (without Plink)

Does anyone have a way to run non-ESXCLI commands via PowerCLI without calling Plink?

This isn't exactly what I want to run.  I want to run a command HP recommends testing to verify the host has connection to the HP SIM server which is:

nc -z <ip address of SIM server> 50004

So it's not a vicfg command.

That is the Linux netcat command.

Are you sure that should work on ESXi 5.x ?

Since ESXi 5.x there is no console anymore.

Then no, I don't know of another way to run this, besides using PuTTY
