Hi All,
Is there any PowerCli Script to install VMtools on hundreds of server.
My requirement is
Have list of hundreds of server names to upgrade VMtools and supress reboot..
So that I can reboot them during change window.
When I did VMtools upgrade manually for few servers I encountered issues like
VM getting out of network , nic card was disappeared.i had to manually add IP details to them.
Soma of them went out of domain also.
If we use powercli Script to upgrade VMtools...will I face similar issues like nic details disappearance..VM put of domain.
Hi,
This is fine for both Windows and Linux machines
Auto VMware tools installation PowerCLi script for Windows and Linux VM
ARomeo
Thanks AlessandroRomeo68
For quick response. The given link is good. but the thing is the execution destination server/VM should have PowerCLI , which is very difficult.
if there any other script which do not have such requirement.
I'm afraid that is not correct.
The station where you run the script should have PowerCLI installed, the targetted VMs do not need to have PowerCLI installed.
