PowerCLI returning wrong TZ info for ESX host

Hi, I've changed the TZ on my ESX4.1 server to Central, but when I run a report to pull the TZ info from the server, it shows the old TZ, Pacific.

> get-vmhost *esx-01* | % { $_.timezone }

Description GmtOffset Key

----------- --------- ---

PST         -28800    US/Pacific

Any hints as to why it's not pulling the correct info. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the server from vsphere, but that hasn't helped.

Thanks!

jeff

Well, one solution: restart mgmt agents on the esx box, then disconnect/reconnect esx from vcenter. I need to test a couple more times to confirm that the workflow will fix the TZ reporting issue.

Hello,

i guess you have checked this KB about configuring time zone in esx/esxi hosts, right?

Best regards,

Pablo
