PowerCLI or RemoteCLI to SVMotion 100+ Systems

All, I’ve been given a task to SVMotion hundreds of VM guest machines to new volumes. If the systems had one VMDK on one volume, I'd be able to script that. But of course it’s never that easy.  If this has already been posted and I missed it I do apologize.

Our environment uses a NetApp filer to present the volumes to the ESX servers.  The following pertains to my project:

Most systems have 3 VMDK files on the following volumes:

/vol/vol_vm_cdrive_prd   c:\ drive vmdk

/vol/vol_vm_transient_prd   d:\ drive for page file, tmp and temp files

/vol/vol_vm_datadrive_prd   e:\ drive for application data.

Need to SVMotion to...

/vol/vol_vm_cdrive_prd2   c:\ drive vmdk

/vol/vol_vm_transient_prd2   d:\ drive for page file, tmp and temp files

/vol/vol_vm_datadrive_prd2  e:\ drive for application data.

Some systems don’t require an e: drive but are far and few between.

I’ve looked and other members scripts, remoteCLI’s svmotion.pl and I really don't know what to do.

Any help would really be appreciated!!

No problem. The search options in the new forum are nearly non-existant.

Feel free to post again should you encounter a problem.
