PowerCLI install issue

Hello,

I am trying to install/reinstall powercli and end with an issues that I could not resolve.

Error 1722: Installer error: A program run as part of setup didnot finish as expected. Action: VM_UnregisterPlugin, location c:\windows\, command: "C:\Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework\v2.0.50727\InstallUtil.exe" /Logfile /u C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\Infrastructure\VIToolkitforWindows\VMware.VimAutomation.dll.

I tried almost all the fixes listed in kb. Has anybody faced similiar issue before.

1. Follow the instructions in the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 301919.
2. In Windows Services (services.msc), ensure that the following services are enabled. If they are not enabled, enable them.
   • COM+ System Application
   • Distributed Transaction Coordinator
3. Try the installation again.
