PowerCLI and ESXi5 hypervisor

Can I use PowerCLI with ESXi5 or ESXi5.5 hypervisor edition?

Sure, you can use PowerCLI with any type of vSphere server (vCenter and ESX(i)).

Unless something changed lately, the API is still restricted to read-only operations with the free Hypervisor license!? So some command may return a "fault.RestrictedVersion.summary" error message.

AFAIK, "Hypervisor" is the way vmware calls esxi free version
