PowerCLI ESXi Host License Management & Migration

Hello all,

I'm trying to figure out if what I want to do is possible using PowerCLI. I have 30 hosts that need to have their license key assignment changed/migrated to a new key that has been added to the environment. Is there any way to do this in PowerCLI?

I have been given two keys with 16 cores in each key and I need to move my specified hosts to these new keys.

Regards,

Paul

Have a look at Damian's post called vSphere licensing via PowerCLI.

Indeed, with the current PowerCLI build I'm afraid you will have to revert to some SDK methods and properties.

But a new PowerCLI build should be appearing soon (they normally use a 6-monthly cycle) and who knows 🙂
