PowerCLI 6.5 - Get-VMConfigChanges

Hi,

When I run the command Get-VMConfigChanges I get error message "The term 'Get-VMConfigChanges' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet.

I have seen that I need to inject the cmdlet into PowerCLI, any ideas what I need to run to do this?

Thanks

I assume that you are referring to William's Get-VMConfigChanges function?

You can download William's function as a .ps1 file, then from the PowerShell/PowerCLI prompt execute this .ps1 file.

The function is know known to your PowerShell session, and you can call  it.

LucD, sorry hate to ask  but where is this info actually coming from? Seems I only have about 48hours of info to collect, outside of that its not gathering anything, what can I change to allow longer data gathering of info from VMs?

The info is extracted from Events.
If your vCenter is not configured to keep Events for a longer period, you can only go back as far as the retention time that is defined
