Physical Switch detais for VDS hosts

HI All,

     I need information like ESXi hosts connected physical switch details like esxi host name, Physical network adapter and System name(switch details) and Hosts are connected Arista Networks

     Cisco Discovery Protocol is not available on this physical network adapter. Thanks for advance ..

As shows in screenshot CDP information is not available means CDP is not enabled on the ESXi virtual switch and physical switch.  You can check it on physical switch to make sure CDP is configured as well as on ESXi as mentioned above.  Once get configure you will able those details on vswitch.

Did we get without CDP. I do not think so Arista switch has CDP.

Did you enable CDP on the virtual switches?

You can do that from a script, see Re: Enable CDP on vSwitch on all hosts

I'm afraid not, that information is only collected when CDP is enabled on the virtual and physical switches.

Yes. Possible. On this VMware kB have commands and PowerCLI script to get those info.however, as I said earlier CDP must be enable on switch ..VMware Knowledge Base
