Migration Distributed Switch to another Distributed Switch on the same vCenter

Hello,

I'm looking a script powercli to migrate network interface ESXi server +  VMkernel + network vm portgroup from a distributed switch to another distributed switch on the same vCenter without interruption. I have a file with a list of ESXi server. It is the same operation as a migration VSS to DVS?

regards,

David

It depends a bit how you created the target VDS.

Did you use the old VDS backup to create the new VDS?

Did you use the KeepIdentifiers switch on the New-VDSwitch cmdlet?

Hello,

The source and the target Distributed Switch exist already on the same vCenter

The operation consist to migrate ESXi and virtual machine from the source DVS to the target DVS. I have hundreds ESXi and thousands of vms it's that why i'm looking for a script.

1/ Migrate half ESXi network interface +  VMkernel

2/ Migrate vms portgroups

3/ Migrate the other half ESXi network interface
