Hi all,
we want to use VMware Lifecycle Manager to automatically update VMware Tools on our VMs. It works nice in the GUI, it seems to be a very manual process though. Does anyone have an idea if the following tasks could be automated using PowerCLI or another VMware API?
1. Set VMware Tools "Auto Update" to "On" of every VM? ("Off" seems to be the hardcoded default for new VMs)
2. Run/Trigger the "Check Status" function (To teach LCM whether a VMware Tools Update is available or not for a VM)
