How to find changes in VMware Tags with PowerCLI

Hi,

we want to use VMware tags for automating our firewall rules. So it's getting more important to log the changes for the tags.

I also write a log when a VM gets deleted or changed with LucD's function "Get-VIEventPlus". Something like this is what I'm looking for.

Has anyone does this before or can give me a hint?

Afaik, changing tags doesn't generate an event.

The only solution I see is to take a regular inventory, and compare that with the previous inventory.

But that will not tell you who did the change I'm afraid.

Ok 😕

Thanks for your quick answer! So I can stop digging further ...

But it would be nice to have this in the future! Smiley Wink

I cannot imagine that I'm the only one who need this.
