How to download vmware ESXi ??

Hi frnds..I am new to vmware.I want to download "vmware ESXi".Most of the links are leading to "https://my.vmware.com/group/vmware/details?downloadGroup=VCL-VSP510-ESXI-51U1&productId=285&rPId=379..." and I am getting the error "You either are not entitled or do not have permissions to download this product." please help .

Hi,

Its because you don't have licence attach to your account, or if you company own licence. Administrator need to add your account into the good folder in user & permissions on my vmware.

Thanks for the quick reply.I am a beginner in this technology and I want to make a lab setup(in my personal system) for practice.How I can do it?and from where I can download the setup for ESXi,vsphere etc..

Please suggest..

Follow the link posted by andré above Smiley Happy.

But If you want to test with a vcenter do not use vSphere Hypervisor 5.

If you want to manage only one ESX, use the second which is free for use.

It is an esxi too Smiley Happy It is the same , but one cannot be manage by a vCenter.  Sorry when i told you ESX, i mean ESXi Smiley Happy .

From the two links I provided, the first one offers you a 60-day enaluation of the complete vSphere Suite (including vCenter Server, ESXii, ...) whereas the second link provides you with the free Hypervisor. Note that the free Hypervisor and ESXi share the exact same binaries and only the license key locks or unlocks features.
