Get a guest's IPv4 address

Hi folks,


I'm doing this type of thing: <span>(Get-VM $</span>vmserver<span>).guest.ipaddress</span>


It works but it returns IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

(get-vm $serverName).guest.IPAddress[0] will return the first.  You could loop the results and only take ones with "."

This is a non-regex way of find IPv4 addresses

$vm.Guest.IPAddress |

Here's the regex method, incase there are multiple IPv4 and IPv6.
