Hello All,
I am wondering if any of you needed a GUI for powershell script ? What tools are the best in this class ? I actually want to try PrimalForms 2011 not free I believe.
It really depends what you want to do with the GUI and who you want to distribute it to.
Quest PowerGUI is a great tool for easily adding a GUI on top of your scripts, examples can be seen with the Community PowerPack and the VMware PowerPack, a free feature full version is available via http://powergui.org
PrimalForms 2011 is a great tool for allowing ou to design and create your own GUI type scripts, works really well but you have to make sure you design your script well as cmdelts which take time to complete sometimes give the appearance of an application no longer responding.
I have used both in the past, both for different results.
Alan
Thanks for your answer Alan. Yes I am also using Quest PowerGUI.Awesome tool. I want to get & test smth like the free version of PrimalForms 2011
Primal Forms works well and they have good support, I also have a general template which i now use as my start point for a Primal Forms project, its great for creating a quick App.
www.powerwf.com . But it is not free.
Don't forget PowerShell Plus from Idera (not free) and PowerShell's ISE (which is even getting better in PS v3 judging from the Windows 8 preview).
