im also having issues with the autodeploy host hanging after the first cache and i believe this may be holding it up.
It looks like you might be using a newer version of PowerCLI with a pre-GA version of autodeploy.
Can you specify which tasks please ?
I get it when running "New-DeployRule"
long-term i am having the same issues as this post..

where it boots and hangs on the first cache. im thinking that error may not allow the image to fully update or something.
i have this issue on 3 seperate vcenter installations 2 physical and 1 virtual.

im looking into it. we thought we had downloaded the latest version...but maybe the "eval version" wasnt up to date at the time..our licensing wasnt updated to download it then,.
Everything is working for me now...for some reason when we downloaded from the site we were still using an older build..
