Error “Could not find Inventory Service endpoint for server” when running script

Using a powercli script I connect to a vCenter server 4.1 and afterthat I launch the command Get-VMHost. I receive this message “Could not find Inventory Service endpoint for server”. Can someone help me to know what means?  Consider that other cmdlets like Get-VM  run correctly….

vCenter 4.1?

Which PowerCLI version are you using?

Hello, sorry for the delay....

We are using VMware PowerCLI 11.5.0 build 14912921

I'm afraid that PowerCLI doesn't work with that vCenter version.

See the compatibility matrix.

You will have to use an old Powercli version.
