Deploy multiple Vms from a template using OS Customisation and a text file for hostname and IP

Hello All,

Not sure if this has been answered already, I did a search on the forums but couldn't find an answer to what I'm looking for.

I want to fully automate the deployment of multiple VM's from a template using a Customization file but also to retrieve the hostnames and IPs from a text file / spreadsheet.

for example:

I need to deploy a test environment of 30 VMs using the TestVM template and customization file. I have a spreadsheet with the VM Hostnames and IP addresses. The process now is to manually enter the hostname and IP when the customization file prompts for it while deploying each vm. The customization file does the rest (license key, admin password, add to domain etc) Can I automate the inputting of the hostname and IP addresses by reading it from a text file?

Thanks in advance!
