Create thick hard disk problem.

Hi all,

i tried to create a thick hard disk in the storage provider:

New-HardDisk -VM vm10 -StorageFormat Thick -CapacityGB 1024

The result is "Thin" provisioning while expected a thick. Any ideas?

If that is on an NFS Datastore without hardware acceleration, then 'Thin' is the only possible format.
If you are using a VM Storage Policy for the datastore, Thin might be the setting.

its a vvol datastore with a default policy

And what is the underlying storage provider?

There might be a setting in the provider interface.

Without more info on your setup, it is difficult to determine the cause of what you are seeing.
